Can I just show up to participate in a class?
Registration and payment is required. You may complete this process online.
Can I use a discount for registering for a class?
This is a specialty class that usually is given a two hour time window (for public classes). Therefore, no discounts may be applied.
Where are the classes held?
Locations for painting classes vary. The location and address will be listed on each event where you sign up.
When should I arrive for my class?
Depending on the location of the event, it is advised to arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to the start of class. Due to time restrictions with certain venues that host, class will begin promptly at the start time.
Can I paint more than one animal on my painting?
Unfortunately, no. There is too much detail in double pet portrait paintings and not enough time to finish.
Can certain elements (collar, blanket, bandana, etc.) be edited out of my pet's picture?
Unfortunately, no. But you CAN paint right over it during the class. For the most part, it will be just as easy to skip painting the collar vs. painting it.
Can kids participate in classes?
YES! Kids can come paint their own wood panel if they are 8 or older. They are more than welcome to paint with the help of an adult if they are younger than 8. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if anyone under the age of 21 would like to participate in a class PRIOR to registering.
Am I able use a combination of photos for my painting?
Your painting will be based off of ONE photo. You can use different photos from your phone, etc. if you would like to make the eyes look a little different or change a few details here and there.
Are multiple people allowed to work on the same painting?
Please email email@example.com. Private and public events differ in the amount of space and time that is available.
I want the whole body in the painting, is that possible?
Yes, but you need to note this in your registration email. This is not recommended due to your painting being more zoomed out, making the face smaller and harder to paint.
Am I allowed to BYOB to the class?
For public classes, BYOB may or may not be offered through the hosting venue for the event. This will be listed in the event description, so please read carefully. For private classes, BYOB is allowed given there are no restrictions at the hosting venue of choice. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your private painting class. All sessions are permitted to bring any nonalcoholic beverages and snacks to enjoy during their class.
I want to host a class, are there certain requirements?
There is a minimum of 6 guests for a private class to be held. If a public class has insufficient enrollment, the venue host and/or artist reserve the right to cancel or reschedule. Participants will be contacted by email no later than four hours prior to the start of the class if it is cancelled or rescheduled. In the event of cancellation, you will receive a credit for the rescheduled date of your class or any other class of your choice of equal value.
I can't come to the class I signed up for anymore, can I be refunded?
Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of this class and each pet portrait being hand sketched, no refunds will be given. Cancellations made 24 hours prior to the class or event, or if there is a cancellation by the venue host (or myself) due to low enrollment or the threat of inclement weather, participants will receive a credit to use towards a future class of equal value. Please note that classes are not yet offered on a regular basis and a waiting period to participate in the next scheduled class may be a longer time period. If cancellations occur 24 hours prior to the class and the participant does not want to reschedule for a later class date, they have the option to take the sketch already prepared. For more information or questions regarding the refund/cancellation policy, please email email@example.com.
